The aluminum picatinny handguard set is an outstanding accessory that can be used with optics, lights, lasers, bipods, and front grips. It is manufactured in Canada, by North Eastern Arms (NEA), from aircraft aluminum and finished in MIL-SPEC Type III hard coat with Teflon. The NEA handguard set is manufactured to accomodate the 2 inch and 3 inch rail segments (sold separately) can be installed at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions on the lower handguard. NEA has manufactured the same picatinny handguard set for Troy Industries. The handguard set CzechPoint provides is branded, "NORTH EASTERN ARMS."
special note: the three holes on the handguard, closest to the receiver, are not intended for quick-attach rail mounting. The purpose of these holes is to increase heat dissipation.
Gunsmithing not required, but basic mechanical skill is needed as a hammer and punch is necessary to change the lower handguard.
