The muzzle brake is a USA made copy of the original Czech military issue muzzle brake. It is 14x1 right hand thread. This excellent design is very effective in reducing muzzle lift and perceived recoil. Muzzle brakes are blued and may show minor scuff marks from shipping.
All D-Technik rifles possess muzzle extensions that are permanently attached (two holes drilled through the muzzle extension and tig welded into the threads). A muzzle extension or muzzle brake must be permanently attached to all D-Technik rifles to avoid an illegal SBR (short barrel rifle). The ATF Technology Branch has determined that this muzzle brake is not a flash hider.
