For C&R holder purchases, please send your C&R license to the attention of Deanna. E-mail is preferred and her e-mail address is: shipping.department@czechpoint-usa.com Or, you can fax it to Deanna's attention at 865-247-0185. C&R holders are not set up in the Dealer Section with a user name and password.
IMPORTANT NOTE TO C&R HOLDERS:
Please do not send your C&R license to us if you are not ordering a vz.52. For some reason, we have received a large quantity of C&R licenses without a follow up order (or any kind of instructions). Trying to match these "orphan" C&R licenses with daily incoming orders is slowing down the processing of vz.52 orders. We prefer that the C&R license is sent to us within 24 hours of receiving the order. Thanks!
In the United States, it is common for this pistol to be called, "CZ 52," but this designation is incorrect, The complete name for this pistol is the Česká Zbrojovka vzor 52. "Česká Zbrojovka," translated into English, means "Czech Armory." The word "vzor" is the Czech word for "model" and is regularly shortened to "vz." The correct name for this pistol is "CZ vz. 52" or just "vz. 52." CzechPoint is calling this pistol the "vz.52" as this is the correct Czech military designation for it. It is interesting to note that these pistols were not marked with the model name, as typically found on other Czech manufactured pistols, and this omission has certainly contributed to the confusion of its actual model designation.
The vz.52 was designed for the Model 48 cartridge - the Czech version of the Soviet 7.62mm Type P pistol cartridge. The Czech M48 cartridge has a larger propelIant load than that of the Soviet military round or 7.62x25mm commercial production. It has been documented that the M48 cartridge possesses an approximate 20% increase in propellant load over that of the Soviet Type P cartridge. The vz. 52 was adopted on May 17, 1952 and entered service to begin replacing vz. 50 pistols (caliber 7.65mm Browning). The vz. 52 served for 30 years in the Czech military and was eventually replaced by the Sa vz. 61 Skorpion machine pistol (7.65mm Browning) and the vz. 82 pistol (caliber 9x18mm Makarov). Approximately 200,000 vz. 52 pistols were produced at Česká Zbrojovka in Strakonice from 1952 through 1954.
vz.52 pistols include a 30 day inspection period and will be repaired, or replaced, if the pistol is confirmed to have a functioning problem during this time (CzechPoint must be contacted within this 30 day time period).
