The left-side charging handle bolt carrier - INSTALLED can only be purchased at the same time as purchasing a vz. 58 rifle or pistol. Bolt carrier is universal and can be used with vz. 58s in both 7.62x39 and 5.56x45 (.223). The finish on the bolt carrier will match current production vz. 58s as CSA uses the same black finish on all parts/firearms.

* Left-side charging handle bolt carrier CAN be used with the LPM-1H mount (handle will not contact mount).

* Left-side charging handle bolt carrier can NOT be used with the ISC Riser Mount (handle WILL contact mount)

* Black color only.

The left-side charging handle bolt carrier is not a regularly manufactured part by Czech Small Arms. CSA makes a run of left-side charging handle bolt carriers only a few times a year and we feel fortunate to have imported a small quantity of these bolt carriers. Just a heads-up that we may experience periods of time when these bolt carriers are out of stock.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THE CHARGING HANDLE:

WE HAVE RECEIVED QUESTIONS ASKING IF THE LEFT SIDE CHARGING HANDLE HAS BEEN WELDED ONTO THE BOLT CARRRIER.  THE ANSWER IS ABSOLUTELY 'NO.'  THE ENTIRE LEFT SIDE CHARGING HANDLE BOLT CARRIER HAS BEEN MACHINED FROM ONE PIECE OF STEEL.  THERE IS NO WELDING PERFORMED WHATSOEVER ON THE BOLT CARRIER.

Your are purchasing the LEFT-SIDE charging handle bolt carrier as a replacement to the standard right-side bolt carrier found on Czech Small Arms vz. 58s (right-side bolt carrier not included). This is a new production bolt carrier manufactured by Czech Small Arms and like all CSA and D-Technik vz. 58s, this bolt carrier possesses the push-down plate to eliminate the problem of the striker failing to catch the sear while shooting (commonly referred to as the 'Gremlin').

Why a left-hand bolt carrier?   For many right handed shooters, the left-side charging handle provides for a faster charging of the rifle (left hand does not need to reach over or under the rifle to charge).
