If the Czech steel trigger is preferred, please scroll down to the bottom of the page to purchase the 'steel trigger installed' and it will be installed before your rifle ships.  A US made disconnector will be used in place of the US made trigger for 922(r) compliance.

* Magazines will possess dings and/or scratches from military service under the new gray color paint.

Information on blue/gray color paint finish and refinished beech wood furniture

The finish used is a blue/gray paint that is manufactured by the same Czech facility that manufactured paint for the original vz. 58 assault rifles.  With that said, please keep in mind that there was no specific shade of gray color used on military issued rifles and original gray varied from light gray to dark gray with varying shades of blue.   The baked on paint is applied by the Czech Small Arms factory.  This is a limited run of rifles as the vast majority of Czech Small Arms clients order black finish vz. 58s.   The blue/gray finish used on these rifles is a nice representation of that found on original military issue rifles and we feel very fortunate to obtain them.

The beech wood furniture is approximately 55 years old and has seen Czech military service.   CzechPoint hand selected the best beech wood furniture we have and spent many hours restoring each piece.   This includes removing the majority of the dings by way of steaming, lightly hand-sanding with no greater than 220 grit paper, applying a warm color stain to enhance better color match between furniture pieces, and applying three coats of clear coat (each clear cut hand rubbed).

Please keep in mind that the beech wood furniture will still exhibit minor character marks from military service, but each stock set is striking in appearance.  The photos of the rifle shows middle of the range condition.  None of the wood stocks have cracks and each and every set is absolutely beautiful!

We do not recommend hard use of this rifle model so as to avoid damaging the finish.  For those looking for a rifle to shoot on a regular basis, we recommend purchasing another rifle model.  But, if you want a beautiful vz. 58 then this is the one to have!

This model accepts double stack 30 round magazines and possesses the patented 'push-down' plate on the bolt carrier. The patented ‘push-down’ plate ensures the user will not experience possible misfire problems that can be found with other manufacturer vz.58 type rifles. This rifle model does not possess a bayonet lug as it was manufactured in the Czech Republic.  Manufacturer name on the rifle is D-Technik (D-Technik later changed the name to Czech Small Arms to better represent their firearm products).

The vz. 58 rifle model has no more than 10 imported parts to comply with Title 18, U.S.C., Section 922(r).  The USA made parts used on this rifle model are: muzzle nut, sear, trigger (glass-filled nylon), magazine follower and magazine floor plate (made from polymer).

Please note that we are unable to fill requests for a specific trigger guard, front sight base, or sling swivel.  Over the years, different trigger guards and sling swivels were manufactured as well as two different front sight bases (enclosed circle or ears protecting the front sight post).  One is not better than the other - they are just slightly different.
